New Locations for Season 2: Arcade and Family Video

Stranger Things has been filming in Douglasville, GA in recent weeks, and new locations have been decorated to become part of Hawkins, in the form of an arcade and a Family Video store. Local fans of the show posted pictures of the exterior location on Twitter, and The Douglasville Menu published an article about it on December 20.

The arcade has a purple, yellow and orange color scheme and the marquee above the entrance advertises that it has arcade games, skee ball, air hockey, pinball and prizes. Next to it is the Family Video—part of an actual chain of movie rental stores—which is painted with a green and red color scheme, just like the real stores are.

You might recognize the arcade from the photos of Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) shooting scenes there on December 8.

The location used for the arcade and store is an old laundromat located on 6500 Church Street, which is the same street where the location where Hawkins Police Station is filmed. Before the facade was recently transformed for the show, it looked like this:
