Winona Ryder on set for Castle Byers flashback scenes
In Stranger Things "Chapter One: The Vanishing of Will Byers", a flashback shows Joyce Byers visiting Will in Castle Byers to surprise him with tickets to see Poltergeist. Despite their early appearance in the show, the shooting of the scenes took place very late in production.
According to an article published by Daily Mail, the scenes were filmed in an Atlanta, Georgia forest on Tuesday March 1, 2016. See the rest of the photos below and compare to a screenshot of the finished scene as it appeared in the show.
